The Prix d’Amérique Opodo Finale EpiqE Series has kept its promises on Sunday 29 January 2017 at Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris. Suspense, twists, fervor, emotion, exalted atmosphere: the essential ingredients of a single moment were present. In front of an enthusiastic crowd, the departure initially posed a problem. Anna Mix once again proved to be recalcitrant. First blow of the theater: the resident of Franck Leblanc refuses categorically to start and declares forfeit. The horses finally come into action. Bold Eagle, the big favorite, hesitates. His supporters are worried. He is stuck in the peloton while Timoko tries to keep the lead of the race. Unfortunately for him, several opponents block him and the idol of the Southwest gives way in the ultimate straight.

Franck Nivard, driver of Bold Eagle, uses his legendary coolness. He finds the right back; that of Belina Josselyn, it follows it in its progression and easily exceeds it to 200 meters of the post. Result: a breathtaking victory and a record of the event beaten. The 6-year-old trotted faster than last year: 1’11”2 against 1’11”4 in 2016. The son of Ready Cash thus achieved a fantastic double in the Trotting World Championship. Belina Josselyn placed second ahead of Lionel, Propulsion and Briac Dark. Franck Nivard won his fifth Prix d’Amérique and Daniel Redén placed two protégés in the top five (Lionel and Propulsion). This 2017 edition will certainly remain in the memories.
