The Grand Prix de Belgique was the last qualifying race for the Grand Prix d’Amérique on Sunday 12 January at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. Bélina Josselyn won and only one name was added to the list of qualified: Enino du Pommereux.

Jean-Michel Bazire, his mentor, had announced the color: Bélina Josselyn had worked more intensely in training before the Grand Prix de Belgique 2020, following some halftone performances. It succeeded because the winner of the Grand Prix d’Amérique 2019 triumphed with panache. The mare had been disqualified from first place for hitting a rival last year. She took revenge on bad luck. The Alezane dominated to finish Enino du Pommereux, who thus obtains his passport for America after having failed narrowly three times (fifth of the Grand Prix de Bretagne and Bourbonnais, second of the Prix Tenor de Baune).

Davidson du Pont, already qualified thanks to his success in the Grand Prix de Bretagne, left a tremendous visual impression by finishing strong in third place. We therefore know more about the state of the forces present at two weeks of the World Harnessed Trotting Championship. 12 competitors won their tickets, so there will be six places left that will go to the wealthiest. Here is the list of qualifiers: Davidson du Pont, Chica de Joudes, Looking Superb, Délia du Pommereux, Bold Eagle, Face Time Bourbon, Excellent, Bahia Quesnot, Vivid Wise As, Bélina Josselyn and Enino du Pommereux.
