Upset in his preparation for Prix d’Amerique Legend Race, Vitruvio will make his debut in the Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf Qualif#6 on January 17th.
This is one of the best notes from the previous Legend Race. On January 26, after a sharp sprint (last 200 meters on the foot of 1’05”4), Vitruvio snatched fifth place in the harness trotting world championship (at 147/1!) and made an appointment for the next edition. A notable performance for a trotter who has achieved his main feats of arms on speed courses.
Born in 2014 in Italy, this son of Adrian Chip has won 18 times, over distances ranging from 1600 to 2100 meters, without ever winning on our soil. To its rich list of 10 Groups (including 8 at Group I level) are the Gran Premio Orsi Mangelli, the Gran Premio Unione Europea, the Grand Prix of Oslo and the Kymi Grand Prix. After having spent almost his entire career under the rule of Alessandro Gocciadoro, Vitruvio joined Jean-Michel Bazire’s boxes at the start of the winter meeting, but things did not go as planned.
“Vitruvio had health problems,” explained Jean-Michel Bazire in mid-December at the microphone of Equidia. We slowed down work for 15 days. It will go back to Grosbois at the end of December (…). We are going to prepare him as best we can for the Prix d’Amerique Legend Race.” On Tuesday, Vitruvio came to train at Paris-Vincennes with his mentor on his sulky, completing his 2-kilometer run in the 1’13 kilometer reduction. Convinced of this work, Jean-Michel Bazire decided to enter Vitruvio in Qualif # 6 – Prix de Belgique.
After Billie de Montfort and Face Time Bourbon, Vitruvio is the third richest competitor to be able to take the start of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, with more than 1.4 million euros in his bank account. So he doesn’t have to finish in the top three to be qualified.
