EpiqE Series

28 January 2016

The line-up is now official. The sumptuous 18-runner field will come under orders at 4.20pm French time for a 2,700-metre trip. All the ingredients for a great Opodo Prix d’Amérique are there.

Title holder: Up And Quick – Quiet so far this winter, he has had only one target in mind. Teaming up with champion driver Jean-Michel Bazire, he is putting his title on the line.

Challenger n° 1 : Bold Eagle – Impressive in the Prix de Belgique, the last race in the #opodoraces series, 5yo Bold Eagle is going to post with an awesome 20 wins in 23 career outings.

The gold digger: Timoko – On his 5th Prix d’Amérique bid, Timoko will be attempting to better last year’s result when 3rd. The 12-time G1 winner has the best titles of the field.

Norwegian star: Lionel – Bearing the name of soccer star Messi, he hasn’t stopped moving up the league over the past months. Performing really well last summer, he’s not easy to tackle when he’s barefoot.

The other youngster: Bird Parker – Part of Bold Eagle’s generation, maestro handler Philippe Allaire has specially shaped him up for the Big Race with clockwork precision. He may well cause an upset.

Challenger n° 2: Voltigeur de Myrt – An excellent runner-up behind Up And Quick last year, the trotter from Mayenne is back for THE big race with sound claims. Although he had a slight setback gearing up, he is now bang on target.

Ambitious visitors: Support Justice & Oasis Bi – The former disappointed in the Prix de Belgique, while the latter performed well. But there’s no question about their talent.
