Along with the Critérium Continental, the Prix Ténor de Baune will be the other qualifying race for Grand Prix d’Amérique, which will be top of the list Sunday, December 22, at Paris-Vincennes. Its winner will be able to align itself in the World Championship in harnessed trot, Sunday January 26th.
This Group II created in 2008 provided three winners of the queen event: Up And Quick, Bélina Josselyn and Readly Express. The 2019 vintage will arouse the lusts of 16 talented protagonists, many of whom have the means to fight for the palm. Seven of them are trained outside our borders and eight, half the peloton, have already won at Group I level.
Several professionals have made the Prix Tenor de Baune a declared objective. The Finnish Pasi Aikio, for example, specially prepared Who’s Who for this confrontation. Vivid Wise As, convincing winner of the Prix Marcel Laurent on November 7, is in the same case. Jean-Michel Bazire, who placed three boarders on the podium last year, aligns Ghazi B.R. The Italian Alessandro Gocciadoro will be tripled with the aforementioned Vivid Wise As, but also Volnik du Kras and Vitruvio, the richest of the peloton. The battle promises to be tough and the outcome undecided!
