Davidson du Pont has the distinction of having won the last two editions of the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf Qualif # 1, then named Prix de Bretagne. The resident of Jean-Michel Bazire will therefore attempt a pass of three never achieved in the past of the first qualifying race for the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf Legend Race, Speed Race and Marathon Race (formerly Prix d’Amérique, de France and de Paris). While Capitole had won the event three times in 1995, 1997 and 1998, Abo Volo, in 1996, had prevented him from winning three times in a row.
Quadruple winner of Group I, Davidson du Pont then shone in the top events. He was fourth in 2019 and second this year in the ZEturf Legend Race Prix d’Amerique. Let us also remember his victory in the Prix d’Amerique ZEturf Speed Race version 2020. After three preparatory outings, the 7-year-old virtuoso should appear much sharper.
