The attraction of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race version 2022 is called Face Time Bourbon. Face Time Bourbon was born on March 4, 2015. He is a son of the champion Ready Cash, winner of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race in 2011 and 2012. The 7-year-old horse started competing in August 2017 with a victory over the little Montier-en-Der racecourse. After coming close to death from an infection, Face Time Bourbon made its comeback in the spring of 2018 and quickly rose through the ranks. He won the biggest events reserved for his contemporaries and beat his elders at 5 years old, in the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race 2020. The representative of Scuderia Bivans, Italian owner, also won in prestigious races abroad : in Sweden, Finland and Italy.
Supersonic base speed
After winning a second Prix d’Amérique Legend Race on January 31, 2021, Face Time Bourbon broke the speed record at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes track. It was on June 27 when he won the Prix René Ballière. The time, 1’09”1, had never been so fast on the legendary cinder track. Today, he has a total of 35 victories, including 17 Group I, in just 43 races and nearly 3,400,000 euros in earnings.
The son of Ready Cash is characterized by his Olympian calm in competition, his remarkable maneuverability and his lightning acceleration in the turns. His preparation for the 2022 world championship is going wonderfully, as Sébastien Guarato, his coach, explained to the specialized press: “He worked on Thursday and was really perfect. He is in a very good state of form: everything is fine“.
