Thanks to his victory in the QUALIF # 3 Critérium Continental, Sunday December 27 at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes, Gu d’Héripré won his visa for the Ultimate Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf, the three top events: Prix d’Amérique Legend Race, Prix de France Speed Race and Prix de Paris Marathon Race. It was the best victory of his young career. This little prodigy, only 4 years old, already has an impressive track record and is irreproachable in competition. Gu d´Héripré has indeed totaled 13 wins and 6 places in 22 attempts, or 86% success in the first three! Second in Critérium des 3 Ans and Critérium des 4 Ans, and unlucky in the UET Grand Prix (disqualified near the finish post when he seemed to be winning), Philippe Billard’s protégé finally won his first Group I title, the highest possible level in the race hierarchy.

His label is well known to fans of Trotting, as Un Mec d’Héripré and Rolling d’Héripré have also triumphed in the Critérium Continental in the past. They even competed in the Prix d’Amerique. The Héripré brand represents the prestigious breeding of the Quintin family, synonymous with tradition of excellence. Gu d´Héripré’s entourage told Paris-Turf newspaper that nothing has been decided on their champion’s participation in Prix d’Amerique Legend Race. Fans of fine sport, however, are hoping that the golden passport will be used on Sunday, January 31.
