The Prix d’Amérique Legend Race has often been a success for the youngest competitors. To cite the most recent examples, Gu d’Héripré, third in 2021, Face Time Bourbon, winner in 2020, and Bold Eagle, winner in 2016, are the perfect illustration of the success of 5-year-olds. Hohneck will represent this generation in the 2022 edition, Sunday January 30 at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. The resident of Philippe Allaire qualified for the Finals of the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition thanks to his splendid victory in Qualif #3 – Critérium Continental, on December 26.

Hohneck obviously has the means to play a leading role against his elders. It will have several solid arguments for it, starting with its excellent consistency. In 28 performances, he finished on the podium 26 times, for 14 victories! This son of Royal Dream, winner of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race in 2013, also offers the advantage of making constant progress for several months and he seems to still have some leeway. Its maneuverability will be another valuable asset. He can be positioned anywhere in a platoon. He has the ability to trot at the front of a course, but can also wait and finish strong. Finally, Hohneck knows how to place several accelerations during a race, an essential skill now to shine at the highest international level.
