The countdown to the start of the Grand Prix d’Amérique 2020 has been officially launched. Here is the calendar of events before the World Championship.
The first stage will take place on Wednesday, October 30 with the start of the famous Winter Meeting at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. Until February 29, 90 meetings for 746 races in total will thrill the Trot Temple.
The first qualifying race at the Grand Prix d’Amérique, the Grand Prix de Bretagne, will be held on Sunday 17 November. The second, the Prix du Bourbonnais, is scheduled for Sunday, December 8th. The third and the fourth will take place on Sunday, December 22 (Critérium Continental and Prix Tenor de Baune). The Grand Prix de Bourgogne, the fifth qualifying event, will take place on Sunday 29 December. Finally, the last decisive round will be held Sunday, January 12 (Grand Prix de Belgique). The start of the Grand Prix d’Amérique will be given Sunday, January 26, around 16 hours.
The first three Grand Prix de Bretagne, Bourbonnais, Bourgogne and Belgique will automatically qualify for the Grand Prix d’Amérique. Only the winners of the Critérium Continental, reserved for 4 years, and the Prix Ténor de Baune, dedicated to 5 years, will win the precious sesame for the World Championship.
