The Prix d’Eté put on a magnificent show on Saturday at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. This prestigious Group II gave rise to a splendid clash between several current champions. Jean-Michel Bazire, who fielded four residents, achieved the feat of composing the podium. Cleangame won brilliantly ahead of Davidson du Pont and Dorgos de Guez. The next season of the Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf is already on everyone’s mind. The gelding status of Cleangame and Dorgos de Guez does not allow them to take part in the competition at the top. On the other hand, Davidson du Pont, second in the 2021 Prix d’Amerique “Legend Race”, has shown that he will have to be reckoned with again in the major events of the next Winter Meeting.
Feliciano, fourth on Saturday, confirmed his return to the forefront after several months of absence. Second in Qualif 1 – Prix de Bretagne and seventh in the Prix d’Amérique “Legend Race”, Philippe Allaire’s protégé should be part of the cast from November. Etonnant, winner of the last Prix de Paris “Marathon Race”, could not be highlighted.
