The Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf Qualif # 1 has kept all its promises. Suspense, twists and turns, a tight and disputed finish: all the ingredients were there to offer a magnificent show. Diable de Vauvert won brilliantly at the end of a very tactical course. Feliciano and Bahia Quesnot complete the podium. All three qualify for the Prix d’Amérique ZEturf Legend, Speed and Marathon Races.
Valzer di Poggio, trained and driven by Jean-Michel Bazire, was the most played competitor. The 6-year-old trotter remained on an 11-game winning streak. He led the proceedings for a long time and we believed in a 12th trophy up to 100 meters from the post. Thunderclap! The favorite set off to a gallop and left the field open to his rivals. Devil de Vauvert, Feliciano and Bahia Quesnot ranked in that order, separated by tiny gaps. After a breathtaking suspense, they get their ticket to the three races at the top; the Prix d’Amérique ZEturf Legend, Speed and Marathon Races.
Gabriele Gelormini, faithful driver of Diable de Vauvert, once again found the right inspiration with the trotter trained by Bertrand Le Beller. The Italian rider living in France was in awe of the Equidia microphone after the race: “He is an extraordinary horse, he has a huge heart. We must congratulate the whole team who work around him on a daily basis”. The next chance to qualify for the trotting cracks: Sunday, December 13 with the Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf Qualif # 2.
