The Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf Qualif # 1 Prix de Bretagne gave rise to a magnificent show on Sunday, November 21 at the Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome. The phenomenal Face Time Bourbon scored a sparkling victory. Etonnant and Ganay de Banville, second and third respectively, also qualified for the Finals of the Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf 2021-2022 competition.

The many Face Time Bourbon supporters never wavered. With an amazing calm despite the false start, the overwhelming favorite fully justified his status. The two-time Prix d’Amerique Legend Race winner took command 1,500 yards from goal and was never worried afterwards. He won out from his opponents, with a tremendous sense of power and ease. The champion even broke the event record by more than a second. He trotted in the mileage reduction of 1’11’’4, compared to the former marque’s 1’12’’5, set in 2012 by Roxane Griff. Etonnant, very courageous, took second place, ahead of Ganay de Banville, who finished very quickly. Both clinch their ticket to the finals of the Prix d’Amerique Races ZEturf competition.

On his little cloud after his victory, Eric Raffin, driver of Face Time Bourbon, said at the microphone of Equidia: “My partner put in a real demonstration today. I am living a dream come true thanks to him, he is a great champion. He was cool despite the false start, I let him go to his hand, without taking him back. He is still undefeated on the 2,700-meter Grand Piste de Vincennes course; I hope he stays that way!

Sébastien Guarato, coach of the winner, was also delighted: “He was impressive, he’s better at Vincennes than abroad, that’s great. I was very calm. He really is a great crack. See you now on January 2 in the Qualif # 5 Prix de Bourgogne, then in the Prix d’Amérique-Legend Race. “
