They will be 12 to compete in the second race of the meeting of this Sunday, December 27 labeled “Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf”. This international contest at Group II level, reserved for the elite of the 5-year-olds, could well smile for the second year in a row to driver Alexandre and trainer Laurent Abrivard. Winners last year with Excellent, by smashing the record of the event (kilometer reduction of 1’11”6), they will try to shine this year with Feerie Wood, crowned 5yo European champion last October at Paris-Vincennes. In front of her stand well-known competitors who have also just beaten the mare, such as Feliciano, runner-up to Diable Vauvert in Qualif # 1 – Prix de Bretagne (and already qualified for the Legend Race – Prix d’Amerique), Fakir du Lorault, winner of the Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin before experiencing setbacks at the start of Qualif # 2, or even the sparkling Rebella Matters (three times on the podium in as many attempts this month).
Three-time winner and most successful driver in Qualif # 4 – Prix Tenor de Baune thanks to Up and Quick, Belina Josselyn and Looking Superb, Jean-Michel Bazire will drive Feydeau Seven whose form is certain, he who comes to win at Group III level in the Prix Narquois. First class trotter, Frisbee d’Am remains on half-hearted outings but if he shows his true face, he is not incapable of creating the feat and « flying to America », which adds a little more spice in a race which looks like a perfect thriller!
