Last of the three Finals of the Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf competition, the Prix de Paris Marathon Race will keep the public spellbound on Sunday February 27 at the Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. Which champions will be at the start?
The list of starters is not final (it will be on Thursday February 24) but we have some information on the probable participants in Group I over 4,150 meters. Etonnant, winner of the previous edition, will defend his title well despite his recent disappointments in the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race and in the Prix de France Speed Race. Diable de Vauvert (our photo), second in 2021, will also be present. Gabriele Gelormini’s partner has focused all his preparation on this summit meeting. The very long distance will still suit him perfectly. Flamme du Goutier, excellent this winter, started too quickly in the Prix de France Speed Race, which explains her underperformance. His entourage will line him up in the Prix de Paris Marathon Race. She will be more comfortable on 4,150 meters.
Davidson du Pont, winner of the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race 2022, could not shine in the revenge on February 13. Nicolas Bazire, his trainer-driver, is going to have him take tests to see if the champion’s health poses no problem. If all goes well, he will present it at the start on February 27.
