Prix d’Amérique Races ZEturf QUALIF # 3-Critérium Continental will take place on Sunday December 27 at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. It is a prestigious Group I which pits the best European 4-year-old trotters against each other. The winner will obtain his passport for the three events of ZEturf Ultimate Prix d’Amerique Races: Prix d’Amérique, Prix de France and Prix de Paris. Two preparatory races took place last weekend, one reserved for males and the other for young ladies. Here are the forces in the French presence which will be in contention in ten days.
Octave Douesnel Prize – Watch the race
Unlucky in the Grand Prix de l’UET, placed in the Critérium des 4 Ans, Gu d’Héripré won a new semi-classic event in Prix Octave Douesnel and is laying his foundations for Qualif # 3. After a fine finish, he leads the Gelati Cut, another metronome at the highest level of competition and has excelled in Italy in recent weeks. Its place on the European chessboard is therefore clearly established. As for Galius, arrived in the race undefeated in twelve attempts, he climbed on the podium.
On December 27, the equation to be solved for these talented trotters will be completed by the presence of the Scandinavians, Italians and fillies who were in contention this Sunday.
Ariste Hémard Prize – Watch the race
After the withdrawal of Gunilla d’Atout, who should have made her comeback, there were only ten 4-year-old hens left to face each other in the Prix Ariste Hémard (Group II). Twenty-four hours after Gu d´Héripré’s male success, Green Grass came out on top with great authority ahead of Gloria Berry and Goldy Mary. This is already the tenth victory for the mare trained by Sébastien Guarato who congratulated himself on the Equidia station that her resident is now “much calmer and much safer“.
