The Grand Prix de Belgique, the 12th stage of the EpiqE Series, was marked by many twists and turns, Sunday 15 January at Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris. On a somewhat sticky track, six competitors were disqualified, including Bolero Love and Charly du Noyer, who were among the favorites. Call Me Keeper, the public favorite, did not disappoint in capturing the second place. He had to admit the superiority of Briac Dark, winner of this Group II. This new protégé of Thierry Duvaldestin, previously prepared by Franck Anne, was extremely tenacious.
Ultimate preparatory event for the Prix d’Amérique Opodo Finale EpiqE Series, the Grand Prix de Belgique nominated three additional qualified for the January 29 summit, as the top three did not yet have their ticket. Briac Dark, Call Me Keeper and Wild Honey got their precious sesame. Hats off to Swedish coach Daniel Reden who will have four starters in our World Championship at the trot harness: Call Me Keeper, Wild Honey, Propulsion and Lionel. At the end of the “4B”, 13 protagonists won the right to line up in America: previous named plus Anna Mix, Princess Grif, Bold Eagle, Voltigeur de Myrt, Belina Josselyn, Treasure Kronos, Timoko and Booster Winner. The arnings system will complete the cast. Only the richest will be invited to the party.
