The cast for the Prix d’Amérique Opodo Finale Epiqe Series is becoming clearer. The Burgundy Grand Prix recently named two new qualified: Timoko and Booster Winner. Anna Mix, Propulsion, Princess Grif, Bold Eagle, Lionel, Voltigeur de Myrt, who finished in the first three Grand Prix de Bretagne or du Bourbonnais, and Belina Josselyn and Treasure Kronos, winners of Prix Tenor de Baune and Criterium Continental.
At the end of the Grand Prix de Belgique, scheduled for Sunday 15 January at Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris, three new trotters will theoretically be able to win their ticket for the summit on 29 January, unless one of the first three of the event is a protagonist already qualified. So we have 10 contenders, plus the three potentials that will pass through Belgium, which makes 13 places in total. Knowing that the Prix d’Amérique can accommodate only 18 runners to the maximum, it remains in the absolute five places to be allocated. Nuncio, Up and Quick, Tiégo d’Etang, Un Mec d’Héripré and Univers de Pan have the right to participate to the Prix d’Amérique Opodo. However, we know that the American will not cross the Atlantic, like Nuncio who is gonna stay at home in Sweden. Up and Quick he didn’t earn lessa than 16,000 euros since 1 January 2016 (an additional rule). As for Un Mec d’Héripré, hisree of preparation is problematic. The door would therefore be open to Akim du Cap Vert, Mosaique Face and Bird Parker. It is necessary to closely monitor current events. The definitive starters of the Prix d’Amérique and the official numbers will be known Thursday, January 26, around noon.
