Rebound at the finish of the Grand Prix de Belgique, Sunday, January 13 at Vincennes Hippodrome de Paris: Belina Josselyn passed the pole in the lead but was disqualified after investigation for a change of line. Victory of Bird Parker, the titleholder.
The champions ensured the show and the two favorites initially took the first two places of the Grand Prix de Belgique but the investigation commissioned by the commissioners resulted in the disqualification of Belina Josselyn, found guilty of having interfered with the entry of the straight line Valko Jenilat who took the gallop on this event. The rule then states that the intruder must be placed behind the embarrassed and therefore in this case be disqualified. Bird Parker was particularly brave in attacking in the climb despite a headwind. Always present at the forefront of the fight, Philippe Allaire’s protégé signed another great performance and put his name on the list for the second time in a row. He was running with his “shoes” here and will come back from behind after the start of the Grand Prix d’Amérique in a fortnight, with the ambition to play a leading role. He was entrusted to his appointed driver Jean-Philippe Monclin.
He had his place at the start of the World Championships trotters assured, unlike Bahia Quesnot who creates the sensation by finishing second and thus winning his ticket to America. Currently coached in the Southeast by Junior Guelpa, she offered a thrilling thrill to her young coach who went through all the emotions after being the focus of an investigation into the looks of her mare. Also very present in the qualifying races, Carat Williams gets on the podium and ensures (he had a priori sufficient gains) his place and especially his ambitions to try something in the Grand Prix d’Amérique. The young Eridan is fourth and Readly Express has finished fifth after a long wait. All will meet again in two weeks for the 2019 Grand Prix de Belgique.
Review the race.
